I have changed all components, modules and plugins to run under Joomla 1.5 nativ (no legacy needed). If someone is interested I'll send the source (language files are only in german at moment and i don't have written an installer - so you must install the components as they are and overwrite them with my files)

Das klingt ja einmal phenomänal! Diese Site hat so ziemlich all das was ich mir auch vorstelle: Joomla 1.5, Fireboard, MLS, Gallery ...

Und ich war knapp dran bereits auf phpBB zu switchen...

I finally had some time to look at your updated code.

It all ran quite well, also with the legacy plugin disabled.

But I guess to make it stable to a point where it can be published to a wider audience, quite some work needs to be done.

On the CSS side: you should always rely on the predefined default classes from the template. I dont know what they are called in 1.5, but on 1.0.x you had classes like "sectiontableheader" and "sectiontableentry". If you use these classes, the pages automatically fit into the rest of the design. Otherwise, somebody who wants to use the components is forced to edit some custom CSS file just to make it look nice.

I see when I get some more time to look at it more closely. But great work so far!

Von der Stable ist das ganze natürlich noch entfernt^^ -> Ich konnte bei mir zwar keine Fehler mehr feststellen aber Bugs treten halt immer auf...

Das Problem bei dem CSS ist (in meinem Fall^^), dass ich die Komponente eben gerade nicht im Stil des restlichen Templates haben wollte (ich habe z.B. die Überschriften in einem Kasten, was ich bei anderen Komponenten bzw. dem Template nicht möchte oder auch die Javascripts für das Mouseover bei einigen Tables)

Aber prinzipiell hast du natürlich recht, allgemein ist es natürlich der sinnvollere Weg das Joomla CSS zu verwenden, da dies sich am besten ins Template integriert, sollte man nicht selbst ein CSS schreiben wollen.

Ich hatte mir das ganze als eine Art TemplateSystem für die Komponente vorgestellt (davon sind wir @Mom aber noch eine gute Zeit entfernt^^), da nur auf diese Art die Javascripte und einige Eyecaching Spielereien zu realisieren sind. Ein Fallback System wäre vielleicht eine sinnvolle Alternative (also wenn kein MLS Template existiert -> Joomla Template verwenden ?!)

i hope you could stick together and find a way to make it work stable on 1.5 in native mode!

joomla 1.5 works so smooth compared to 1.x ... would be an important step for the future of this project

I would be interested in getting a copy of the 1.5 version to try out.
